Buff Orpington

I have 5 buff Orpington duckling 2 weeks old. Can thy fly over a 7-8 foot fence? Do I need to worry about clipping there wings?

Hi there - neither my BO or their offspring (crossed with KC's) have ever got more than an inch off the ground (if that). No clipping required.

I've never clipped wings and I kept mine in the house till they were 8 weeks old in a 24 inch or less tall cardboard box.

My buffs can definitely jump and fly about 4ft in the air, they can jump and fly over a 3ft dog pen no problem, even when injured, had toncover it!!! But the furthest I have seen them fly is 6 or 7 ft and then plop on the ground like a sack of potatoes most of the time.

I’ll probably end up clipping there wings if they start to get out it’s about a 7foot tall fence with not a lot of running space

They shouldn't be able to get out once full grown.
