Buff Orpingtons and Road Island Reds?

Do Buff Orpington chickens and Road Island Reds get along well together? Do Road Island Reds do well in sub tropical climates? I live in Lower Louisiana so it gets very hot and humid around here.

I live in Ponchatoula, LA and haven't had a problem with my Rhode Island Reds or any of my chickens.

I can assure you that buff orps and RIR get along fine together. I have 19 buffs that I introduced to 8 RIR hens with no problem. The RIR were 18 months old at the time and the buffs were like 6 months old.

I have both and they do very well together, my buffs are very broody and my RIR just go with the flow, both are great breeds of chicken that give nice large brown eggs!
