My girls are 19 weeks old today. And yesterday I noticed that just over night, the Buff Orpington's face and comb have turned bright red. It was pale, pale pink up till now. She's definitely a hen and not a roo. I'm guessing that this is part of her growing up into a full grown pullet and getting ready to lay eggs.
Anyone else experience this? Is this normal?
