Buff Orpingtons male or female?

Hi all,

I have 2 BOs 8 weeks old and I was so sure these 2 were boys, now after looking online, and on here, I think maybe they could be pullets. What do you think? The reason I thought boys was because of their slow feathering, but as they've matured they don't appear to have any combs to speak of, so maybe they are just slow feathering girls??

I didn't have a lot of trouble sexing my Silkies, but my Polish and BOs - they've been a nightmare!! I just keep flip flopping!

Both look like lovely pullets but they’re a bit young to be certain

They both look like pullets to me. A cockerel would have a bigger, more visible and visibly red comb, and obvious wattles.

Yup. You can tell the comb and wattles already started developing on the males at that age, compared to OP’s pullets.

Realistically it is too early to be 100 % on gender id, but both do appear to be pullets. A couple more weeks will tell the tale for sure.
