Hi!
I'm new to chicken keeping. I have started building my coop, and have been considering different breeds. I know Orpingtons are a common favorite, and I've been looking into them. These three were not mine, but I got some amazing pics of them. One got very interested in the camera!

Just love this one! ^

Anyways, any advice anyone has on Orpingtons, I'd love to hear. I think I'll get one in the flock of four I'm getting. Thanks!

Orpingtons are great birds. True English ones are even better, they get twice the size and fluffiness of production Buff Orps like these ones. They lay and beautiful pinkish egg and tend towards docility. My personal favorite varieties are Jubilees for their beauty and Blacks for their size, but even a plain hatchery Buff will be a nice bird.
