My BO went broody at just over six months, only 3weeks after she started laying. She hatched my very first GrandChick!

She has gone broody four times in just over two years. And it wasn't a problem for me at all.

My girl seems to have the instinct. She stays on her egg for a good hour - two hours after she has laid. I haven't had her go full blown broody on me yet though. My cochin started brooding after a month of laying!

I really want my girls to go broody! Every couple of days one of them will sit in the nest box for up to 2 hour and right as I get excited and go out and check again, she is gone!
