Buff Orpingtons

So this is my first time with chickens, my first two. They are buff orpingtons. I think one is a few days older than the other. The one with more red is and always has been a bit larger than the less developed one. Any thoughts or ideas? Thank you!

I think you have a pair, the top one a cockerel and the bottom one a pullet. Pretty chicks!

I would say due to them both having long tail feathers and rounded feathers that they were both girls. Cant be sure but roosters generally have little to no tail feathers and hens hav length in the tail.

I have a feeling the top is a roo... I read somewhere around here that the roo's have tails develop higher up. I wish they were both girls, because if one is a male, I will have to part with him, because of city code. I bought a golden sl today too to fill in the gap just in case, though I wouldn't mind three hens.
