Buff Orpintons versus English Orpingtons

Has anyone else been disappointed by hatchery Buff Opringtons? Specifically in the temprement department? Everyone always says they are so friendly with such lovely personalities, but all I've had or observed have been aloof - calm, but not interested in interacting with humans. So what I am wondering is if those other colors of English Opringtons, (specifically I like Lavender) are friendlier and more interactive.

Anyone had both to compare?

And are there any other difference in hardiness, size, egg laying, etc?

My 8 week old Meyer hatchery Buff Orpington is the friendliest of my batch of 7 chicks (all different breeds). She actively seeks me out and loves to be held. This is her when she was little

Sorry, I can't compare her to English Orpingtons, but compared to Ameraucana, Wyandotte, Marans, Red Star, Easter Egger and Iowa Blue, she is by far the sweetest. Hope this helps.
