Hi all,

I have five Buff Orpingtons who are almost five months old now. I bought them as pullets, but one of them has a comb that is larger than that of the others. I'll get some photos up here later.

There is no crowing yet or even attempts to do so.

At what age would a young roo start to crow (or try to)?

Thanks for your help.

David

, i would think that if you had a roo in your mix that he should be crowing by now. But i'm still new to the chicken business so i know some one else will answer your question better than me.

and I think to get your best answer, post the pics. My EE cockeral only crowed today for the very first time. Hatched sometime in March.

I have 2 roos and one is a buff orp. They are 4 mths and the buff orpington hasn't made even an attempt to crow. The red sex link has crowed twice though.
