Buff roo x blk Australorp hen

Buff Orpington rooster crossed with a black australorp hen will create a sex link. This is my first experiment. I will have to wait until they begin to feather out to see if they are male or female but at least that will be within a couple of weeks. The golds will be females the males will be silver.

Out of 6, 5 hatched, one died on day two of unknown causes. This is what they look like.

just in case anyone was thinking about doing the same.

I'm about to embark on two full incubators of eggs. I will sell the hens coop ready as they're just feathered, I will keep the males for meat.

Interesting... I have blue orpington rooster I crossed with black australorp hens and this is what I got...
