my chicken layed her first egg today! her name is buffy i was watching as she layed it

(i'm proud of buffy) she is a buff brahma i'll post pics i was about to put it in a jar and save it for 60 years lets party!

We are kind of in the same boat, you and I.

My Black Australorps (3 pullets) just began laying on Sunday November 20th, and today I collected their 11th egg in 12 days. The girls have skipped only a couple of days since; on Tuesday of this week, I collected two eggs, so I'm quite "egg-cited"...LOL! Most of their eggs have been medium sized, but today's egg was large to extra large - I still have a few remaining extra large AA store-bought eggs to compare, and there was almost no difference in size - so I'm pretty happy about it!
