Anybody know if this is garden beneficial or should I keep washing them off?

Yeah, spit-bugs. We do the same...just wash off with the hose. We do the same with aphids since our yard and gardens are pesticide free. On the upside, we have lots of native pollinators and feel good about that!
Once you get down through the spit-nest they make for protection, they're a small, sort of triangle-shaped bright green bug.
I also keep carnivorous plants, so they are an excellent bug for them after all the spit is washed off!

I've seen the green bug, also saw a tan/khaki bug in there. A little grossed out so didn't inspect too closely. Larva maybe?

This is new to me. Was trimming branches off for the burn pile. Looks super creepy head on. What is it? That trunk is about an inch diameter. Bug looks 2 - 2.5 inches long.

It's a click beetle. Harmless. There are various types, you can look up click beetle on Wikipedia. Called that because if you pick one up it moves its 'head' part so it catches on the body and then snaps it loose, making a loud CLICK and a hard jerk in your hand to get you to be startled and let it go. They're kind of fun, really. I loved them as a kid.
