So one of the main factors in convincing my husband to get chickens was our bug problem. Once he realized they hunt like little raptors stalking their bug prey, he was sold! I normally have to get he house and yard sprayed at least twice a year. We live in Arizona and have grass in our backyard, watering almost daily. This brings crickets, roaches and scorpions.... A chicken's heaven! My 3 RIR's have free range of our backyard, we have had them for 3 months now, and we are still overrun with bugs. I have two 14 week old pullets that I let free range with the RIR on the weekends when I'm home, but I don't trust them integrating yet. Any natural remedies you guys have up your sleeves that won't hurt my girls but help my bug problem? (We do routinely go scorpion hunting at night with a black light)
