hi, I’m a first time baby chick raiser and there is small black bugs in the feed I believe are weevils, since I know they are weevils, I threw away the bag. Will the weevils infest my home?!?! Please let me know any precautions I should take to make sure the weevils don’t infest my home!! :( ( the chickens box is in my office)

I've gotten feed with weevils in it before and literally had thousands of them all over my kitchen floor - ugh, that's what I get for ordering feed from online. I swept them up and disposed of them outside, making sure I got ALL of them. While the weevils are an added treat for the chicks you definitely do not want to store the feed that is infested with them in your house because yes, they can get into and infest the dry foods in your pantry.

oh no, I hope there aren’t as many in my guest bedroom as that is where I placed thier food, I currently have COVID but I will clean the floors and the whole room once I am better, also if the panty and kitchen is very far from the guest bedroom is there still a high chance of weevils infesting my home??

I'm so sorry to hear you have covid, I hope you feel better soon!! Yes, you want to get those bugs out of your house asap. If you are well enough to use the vacuum you could get them up that way. Afterward, just remember to empty the vacuum bin immediately into an outdoor trash bin.
