Bugs in food?

no need to have tossed all the feed. You can put the feed in the freezer and it will kill the larvae. The chickens don't mind the extra protein the bugs provide. This time of year, bugs are a problem on older feed and grains. Be careful the airtight can doesn't build up moisture causing the feed to mold.

The food was starting to smell bad. I threw it out for the wild birds to eat, and it stayed there untouched. Ended up scooping it back up and putting it the dumpster.

I thought airtight cans would prevent mold. It is super humid in FL. I can prevent most moisture from getting in, but it's impossible to keep it all out. Is there a better way to keep my food?
