We were given an opened, but full bag of scratch from a friend a few months ago. Since we won't be feeding it to our chickens during this hot weather, I was transferring it to a sealed container. I noticed it was crawling with small black bugs. What do I do? Should I just throw it all away or use it as wild bird feed? Will the bugs die in a sealed container? Is it worth it?
Thanks.

Pour it in the compost or something. I would not advise feeding it to your chickens. Ever. In a few months, it will be even less healthy for them. So, hate to say it, get rid of it or get rid of it. Your choice! Fresh stuff is better for them, anyway.
