Hello, My name is Nancy. I'm very new to raising laying hens for eggs, coop design, and feed. I'm wondering where I buy laying hens for my coop. My first step is to design and build a coop fo about 4 hens for staters. Which design is best?

Hi there, welcome! Your location will play a part in what type of coop you'll want to build so adding that to your profile would help us help you. In the meantime here's a link to the coop pages for you to look through https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/categories/chicken-coops.12/
You can order chicks from a hatchery or likely find them in feed stores now. Good luck!

Hello, Nancy and welcome!
Walk in style with poop boards is best!
Definitely build larger than you think you'll need.

What came first, the chickens or the eggs??
THE COOP!! :gig
Definitely get the coop all built first, then worry about where to get chickens.

Welcome to BYC! @nand123
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!
