Picked up a few things to start my brooder build. I went with a 70 gallon bin, I like how big it is and I think it will work well. Also gonna try the rent-a-coop heat plate and see how it works

Yeah. I went with the bigger bin to give them as much room as possible but I’m sure they will be to big for it pretty quick. Gonna start with 6 chicks and see how they doI used this with my first set of chicks and they outgrew it very quickly. Be sure to have their coop ready. Mine had to be kicked out at 4 weeks old.
I’m going to put some in that sit in the ground at first. Maybe later I was thinking about using a hot glue gun to stick a few up a bit higherThat's great!
I suggest using hemp bedding. And if you have some space you can add some roosts!
