Building a chicken coop

I am having a metal building built on my property to use as a chicken coop. Should I have them build it with a floor or not.

I am having a metal building built on my property to use as a chicken coop. Should I have them build it with a floor or not.

Yes with a floor and put the building on a cement cinder block to give them access under the coop for shade in the summer.

My building is on skids but the run is covered on top with tin. Should I put something down on the floor first before I put the pine shavings?
