I made mine out of acrylic sheeting (no glass to break). I just made a frame and cut a 1/8 dado in the middle of all the pieces, then assembled them around acrylic sheet (which I can cut on the table saw), tacked and glued. The "sash" is hinged to a frame on the outside of the OSB wall and there is hardware cloth on the inside. a pneumatic stapler makes attaching the hardware cloth much easier.

We got some more done! Am I going to be the only person with a picket-fence around my chicken coop?

It was supposed to be a pallet fence (free) but my Father in Law decided that he wanted to make it a picket fence... he bought the supplies, so it is still free.

I suspect the chickens will get out, but... in that case, they can free range during the day. I'm happy as long as they are safe in their house at night
