Building a Coop, would like opinions regarding open roof design?

Going the opposite way or the same direction as the 2 x 4's? Fir strips...as in like 1 x 2's? I am new to construction lol..."stringers" means nothing to me.
We thought we were doing it just like many of the pictures we saw in the coop section, but the wind storm we had made us realize we would have to do something more...and I am so very open to suggestions.

the main purpose for corrugating sheet metal is to inexpensively strengthen it, make it less flimsy. to maximize this design feature, the corrugation should be installed perpendicular to the roof framing members. you kinda inadvertently didnt take advantage of the built in structural capacity, so the furring strip suggestion was to get that rigidity back. the way the roof is framed and pitched, you obviously cant change the direction of the corrugated panels due to drainage issues, but i bet you wouldnt have had nearly the same uplift issues if with the panels screwed down generously in perpendicular orientation.

Got it! Oh how I wish you had been in my backyard at that stage =) Live and learn. We will be changing it this summer.
