Should i use hardware cloth instead of chicken wire for the fenching for my run?

I'm sure you are going to get lots of great advice on this topic !! When I researched the same question here I quickly learned that chicken wire isn't effective against predators that want in your coop!! We are currently doing chicken wire w/ hardware cloth on lower half due to expense of using only hardware cloth..also doing hardware cloth apron at bottom. We have a fenced yard in a subdivision & a large dog so hopefully this combo will keep our chickees safe. Good luck..check out forum for coop & run design ...very informative!!

Yeah, definitely stay away from chicken wire - especially if it's the only protection against the outside world and your chickens because it's just a bit too wide to protect everything that could get in.
