Building a Duck Coop/Pen

Hi,

How big should I make the door opening in my Duck Coop. I am converting a large dog house and plan to make a door which I can raise and lower with a rope. We have one four week old Black Swedish female and one fiour week old Golden 300 Hybrid Layer female.


Also, how do I post images?

I'm not sure of your door size, but I wanted to say

To post images, click on the Uploads(in blue bar right below where it says BackYardChickensForum) and follow the instructions-you simply upload the image you want and them copy the link under your picture you uploaded and paste it into the post you want it to go into.

Ours is 12x18 and opens like yours. Usually we only open it to about 12x12 and even our biggest muscovy male can walk right in and out just fine. Hope that helps

Most of my duck pens have a 12"x12" door.
