Hey! i’m building a duck coop for when my ducklings are ready for a home outside the brooder. I’m planning on building one, keeping in mind the recommended 3 square feet per mature duck. I have never had ducks before and I was wondering if there is anything I should take into account in these plans. I want to include a place to swim, i’m not sure how large it should be. Also we still don’t know the ducklings sexes so we are preparing to get rid of any drakes. (or maybe we will keep one, it depends on the ratio) thanks for any advice!

:welcome

Duck coops are about the same as a chicken coop, make it easy to clean, 2x bigger than you want, for ducks make sure there is little to no ramp and make sure water doesn't collect around the coop or it will be a muddy mess in no time.
