The town where our P.O. box is about 600 people .. the actual community we are moving to has 161 people .. I think.

One local store .. grocery, hardware, feed, movie rental, meat market, hamburgers, bar .. you know .. one of those small town stores. We were there this weekend and as we left, there were some guys hovering around a stock trailer .. they had been hunting wild hogs with their "hog dogs" ..

Here is their catch of the day. Ugly critters. I just love this life.

Very exciting! I'm glad you finally found construction financing - I work in the mortgage industry, and I know how tight lending restrictions have become. Shame lenders weren't all so careful five years ago!

Good luck with your new home. Building can be very stressful, but it's great to have so much input into your home from the get-go, instead of settling for a cookie-cutter, builder-grade house.
