Building a grow out pin

Is it better to put wire mesh fencing for a grow out pen or plywood bottom?

1/2" hail screen or 1/2x1" cage wire is best.

Grow out pin/night time hen house when they are older. at least for the next 7 months then the next project starts! Lol
once they are both old enough they will be free range
