Hey everyone, I am going to start building an incubator out of a side by side fridge i have. I have literally stripped all of the stuff out of the fridge, I have started to mount a pc power supply under the fridge and it is working really well. I would like some peoples opinions on a heat source that would maintain the temp very well. I have a small medium sized heating element i already installed but i know i am going to need something more to be able to build the temp back up in a decent time after opening the fridge.

I would recommend putting a switch on the fan so you can turn it off when opening the door. Just need to watch the heating element when you do so or it will overheat. Another option is to wire in a heat light on a seperate thermostat set slightly lower that your main heat source to bring up the temp quicker set it say 2 degrees lower than your normal operating temp. that way when it drops you have a secondary heat source to kick things back up to close to where they need to be.
