Building a small cage.

I am wanting to construct a few small cages for taking birds to swaps and such. I was wanting your opinion on size. Do you think something like 16x16x16 would be big enough for a standard sized bird?

It might be too big. You want the chicken to have room to stand up or sit down, but if she can move around too much she might hurt herself. Think of the cage as a seatbelt.

Measure the bird or birds you're going to put in the cage, and go from there.
