Day 9 - almost finished
Need to build two screens doors, put up outside door on my room side, add laying boxes, paint whatever isn’t barn red - barn red.

I forgot to add that we need to put a chicken door for run to outside AND finish the outside walls and door on my room end.
I will need to get door knob kit and some lights to hang inside and an outside light for under the porch.
We do plan to put up motion lights, as well.
But, the chicks are all inside now.
I didn’t get a picture of all of them inside.
Just when we were putting some of them inside.

Thank you! My son is in trade school working towards his electrician license. He finished building construction over a year ago. He wants to be a contractor.
So this gave him some practice planning and building.
I’ll send him over to ya!

Your son did an amazing job! I can see the appeal of painting the whole thing red, but the patchwork look is endearing in itself. What a fantastic space.

Right now in the coop there are 10 LF chickens and 4 bantams.
But will be downsizing the flock soon.
Two of the bantams are cockerels that need either rehoming or a separate small coop.
It’s spacious enough to leave them inside, but I’ve been letting them out every other day for a few hours.
