First, its a wooden box with a plexiglass window. Its about 25 long and 23 wide and 10" tall or so. On one end is a dimmable light socket dead center in the middle of that side. On that same side, in the corners are two computer fans, also dimmable for air flow.

so it blows the hot air toward the side without a bulb. A thermostat will be installed eventually if I can find one.

Now...how many and where should I put any venting?

Also, i have a design for an automatic turner, but in the interest of time and space, IF i purchase an automatic turner for a hovabator or little giant, will it work as a standalone unit in my incubator??? Can I simple mount it alone in the unit and run the cord out the back?

Kinda new at the incubator building but I have read you want cross-flow so I put vents on the lower wall on one side and the upper wall on the opposite side to achieve the cross flow and I have had great success with my wine-fridgabator. You dont need much. As far as the turners I used those same turners in mine and they just plug into an AC outlet. You can search my postings and I have some pics of my incubator and that may help you. Best of luck...
