Building coop in Oklahoma

I am trying to decide what I want my coop to look like. Also on other posts I have read it says to insulate the coop. I am worried that the heat in the summer will be too much if I insulate. Any in Oklahoma have any thought on this? Also I want some Black Australorps and Buff Orpingtons, how do these fair in the heat??? Thanks for the help.

I live in England but even I would think it too hot to insulate!

Thanks my hubby thought it was odd, but I have no clue about chickens so I am very curious about the ins and outs of coop building

Hi! Insulating anything normally keeps the structure cool in summer, warm in winter. Used to be a carpenter. Good luck.
