That's been my philosophy. Over the years, while my skill level hasn't necessarily increased, I've acquired a stunning tool collection, which makes the projects I DO take on go all the better.
My advice......AIR tools. Once you've gone from building a shed using hand-pounded nails, to using drill-driven screws, to using an air-powered framing nailer, you'll never go back. It's like going from carrying water from a polluted stream a mile away to your tent in the swamp, to running water in your penthouse suite. Civilized.
