Building my first coop

This is my first experience with chickens. My wife recently brought home 10 straight run chicks. She was told that they are Ameraucana (sorry if the spelling is wrong). I need help in designing and building coop large enough. I'm not sure how many hens that I have or how to sex them if possible. They are about 2 weeks old.

Check out the learning center on this site, also the coop pages. As for sexing them, you'll just have to wait a few weeks. Then they'll start showing some signs. If they were straight run from a feed store-beware. They may be mostly roos. The coop will need to be 4 sq ft for each bird you decide to keep, and they will each need 8 sq ft of run (exercise yard) space. Hope this helps a little.
