Building new coop and new to Chickens

The outside dimensions are 10 foot long 5 foot wide at the bottom 2 foot wide at the top. I also used a three-way connection at all four corners

If you do decide to glue the connections do not glue the T connections that are the hinge for the door. I did not glue any connections due to the uneven ground that I move it on throughout the yard

I think you did a great job on both designs. It shows you intend to offer your chickens the best life possible. Kudos!

Wiring is 100% complete except for putting trim over where the wire attaches.

Working on the nesting boxes but I'm not for sure what I'm going to do with the flat space above the second row of boxes.

You could just leave it open and if you expand your flock you can just add another layer of coops. Or if you have any roos put a pole up there and they'll roost on it.

I'd put a sharply pitched, single plane 'roof' over the nests.....so they don't roost on it and poop it all up.

I had originally planned on installing a window in that space but I don't want the possibility of chicken poop dropping down on the nest boxes. I would hate to have wasted space inside the chicken coop. another option is to close it in add doors on the outside and make a space to store food and other supplies.
