Building New Coop Questions

I was told cracked corn raised their internal temps because it was difficult to digest. Was I misinformed?

I guess I WAS misinformed. Thank you for putting some fact behind it instead of opinions. I got that from a gent on BYC who has been raising chickens since before I was a gleam in my Daddy's eye. It was in a discussion regarding heating our coops in wintertime. He said it's what he does to keep his birds warm throughout the extra cold nights. I apologize for repeating something I did not know wasn't true.
Feed them corn in the summer!
Feed them fatty stuff in the winter to generate warmth.
Well now we know!
