building new coop4 by 4 off ground. how high should I put roosting pole

Ok i planned on only having six anyway. Prob give 2 away. Prob make my daughter sad. But be better for chickens. Prob give 2 of my reds away. They are going to have a big run for them to.

That can work if they're only in there to sleep but if they spend any waking hours in there, they'd be better off with more space. Limiting the RIRs is a good idea too since they're usually the bullies of a mixed flock.
