For those who have built these how do you elevatet he bucket off the floor? I'm intending to put the nipples on the bottom of the bucket and mount the buckets high enough that the birds can reach up to access the water. But I'm not quite certain how to get the buckets off the ground 18" or so, and have them stable enough so that they don't fall over onto the birds.

I'm thinking about making a frame from 2 x 4's that the buckets can sit on and only put nipples on the part of the bucket that will hang off the frame.

?????

Hang it if you have a way. Even if you do the A frame for it i would hang it from the top.

How about a bucket holder mounted to the wall. They have them in horse supply stores and such there are a few different models. Or if your bucket is small enough how about a milk crate?
