Hello, All -

I'm new to this forum and to urban chicken farming. I live at the top of a steep hill in Boulder, Colorado. I want to create a secure and safe run for about three hens - foxes and other predators are a concern, to be sure! Does anyone have plans, advice or reccomendations for building on a steep hill? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'd bury the wire about 8 inches all around, and for three hens you need 30 sq foot. I'd do probably an 8x4, since wood comes in 8' pieces, If the ground is too hard then do an apron. Hardware mesh, not chicken wire, and make sure theres a top is all I got to say. Loveeee to see pictures

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. I'm still in the planning (and convincing my husband) stages of chicken farming, but I'll post pics as soon as I'm underway!

Thanks Again!
