I have a spot out back that I'm planning on placing the coop that I'm building, it's on ledge with a little bit of soil. I'm going to build the run and attaching it to the coop. How can I protect the run from predators from digging under?

I'll try to get some but they may not be that helpful. It's basically un-even ground with a few inches of soil and then a bed of ledge below.

Edit: It would be hardware cloth

Light slope, no retaining wall. I'll take some photos later. Basically I was wondering if just placing some hardware cloth further out with help with this type of ground.

Sounds like not a big deal. As long as the coop is level, the run can slope. As long as you have something like a hardware cloth apron extending out from the walls, or dug down into the ground, the slope does not really matter that much. Does that make sense?

This is an extreme example, but it is what I am imagining you are talking about doing?
