So not the best news but not the worst. You're half way there with the honas. Waiting one more week for it to be right isn't too bad. What's your current head count anyways I lost track lol.

from my understanding is that it could be a couple of things....first go get some golf balls and put them in the nests...dont bother with hot sauce or anything like that cause they cant taste the capsium...another reason could be there not getting the proper nutrition and actually are calcium deficient...and thats y they are eating the eggs...how old is the bird...how many females are in the pen...this is also a factor having the nest on the floor and having more then one hen...also not collecting them a couple of times a day...you need to break this habit soon as it will only get worse...are they around any other birds by chance.....game birds require certain feed...just like a laying chicken compared to a baby chicken..i had my feed store order the breeding mix for the game birds....i had a similar issue with the ringnecks but i switched them from game feed to grower chicken feed cause that is where the two month old chickens are going...so my guess is the lack of calcium....i would try and maybe put in some oyster shells in like a pvc feeder by their feed and see what happens....Birdman do you know how to stop a golden hen from eating her eggs.
mines started laying but eats it everytime
