building paradise for the birds

the second video should be ok to view...i might just figure it out how to do it on here...to make it easier...this is all a learning experience...worst part is im computer savy...lol....shows how savy i am....hahah
Yep it's working...a 5 minute video is a pretty darn big file, takes time.

i shall keep the videos about two minutes then for sure...well just got done moving the svart honas out to their pen...wow they are so black...its crazy....cant wait to see the cemanis grow...thats for sure...

It depends on your camera and/or it's video settings......I don't know a ton about videos, just got a video capable camera given to me a couple months ago.....but am very sensitive to file size as I was on dialup until a couple years ago.

I keep a close eye on my file sizes when I process and store/organize my photo files.....
...large photo files kept for printing, reduced photo files saved with different file name for uploading or emailing.
But I use a laptop, not sure what is possible on phone.

How much different are your hona's from the cemanis?

not sure yet....but the babies are so different...they are more silverish...cemani and way blacker....

so got to see the "man" today....and they gave me a curfew...wow...im 31 and now have a curfew....from 11pm to 6am...talk about crap...they wont let me even stay out of my city...talk about control...i would not wish this on anyone...such a horrible experience...well still trying to get to cally to help a fellow bycer....but not so sure that is going to happen now...if they wont let me out of the city i highly doubt they will let me out of the state...crap...that totally put a damper on my lifestyle...they have nothing else to rag me about and im doing great...no trouble...nothing...so a curfew....wow...did all their stupid programs...passed...and now since they have no way to control me they put a curfew...well call into the lawer...just waiting for a call back...bummer such a great way to get me worked up...already having troubles with my ptsd and sleeping...now to just make things so much more tougher....anyways enough with my garbage....i should have started a reality tv show...you guys would not believe half the stuff i have went thru in the last three years....anyways...moved over another batch of quail...so now up to 45 babies....and i believe seven pheasants...im trying to not let this effect my day as i have so much to do before gma and my aunt and uncle come up here....but man is it hard...i have the plate full so to speak...and now this....
well here are some pics...opp...just got the call from the lawyer...300 bucks to file for a motion of dismissal of curfew...well thats somewhat good news...anyways back to pics

well all is good on the farm...busy as usual...major cleaning...just threw out 5 garbage bags of stuff...and filling up more as we speak...well...thanks for watching....keeping my head up for the time being...hopefully it will remain up....see you guys in a bit...

Don't sweat thing bro. Its there job to keep you under the thumb. And it seems like your lawyer is doing you well. Keep focused on your birds which look great BTW. I have a few black lorps you could have as knockoffs if no one got to close to them. Lol. Seriously tho, things are looking terrific out there, hard to keep up. Haha. And the next year will go by fast, from my own expierence with the same type of people in the past and my current growing family. I mean my little girl is already 9 months old and its hard to keep track of where its all went. There's always gonna be another project, so handle what you gotta handle. Plenty of time in the future anyways ;)
By my calculations when this thing hits 88 miles per hour. You're going to see some serious .....!

well today was an ok day...had troubles sleeping...so i didnt get to much sleep...but went to another town and got a bunch of stuff for the bbq for when the family comes up...have a good going to be here so we dont have to do anything...getting excited...had a couple of casualties with the new babies...i had a 250 watt bulb in there brooders...well on top...and the top has wire on it...so i didnt think it would get to hot....and one quail and one pheasant died...after i switched to a 100 watt...they were all running around and spunky...so all is good again...i think im going to have issues with hatching with this warm weather compared to the colder weather...its making the incubator run at 46 and the hatcher run at 72 percent humidity....in the cold...it was 40 and 60....so next season....they will be in a controlled environment so i can do better results....crazy on how the inside temp can change things so dramatic...going to take a tally at the end of each month to see how many im actually hatching compared to how many i collected...so far 212 eggs (pheasants) have been collected...have two more quail in the hatcher and many chickens that i will switch over when the family gets here...getting excited to see them...i dont get to see them to often...also going to give them the green shirts as well....counting down the days till the gff birds get here...still dont know what they are going to do...alot of things have been thrown into the air and nothing set in stone..so im sure i will have a surprise ...the ones they sent me before...are going to go to a black meat bird project...and i will freerange those...so cant wait for that...not certain on the free range yet...but planning on something cool to add to the flock...also got in the first post for the gate....and man that 14 ft...6x6 is sure heavy...but three bags of quikrete...and we are all good...tomorrow going to hang the gate and start digging the next pole...cant wait for that project to be done...i might build a hoop coop with my uncle to show him how they are constructed..we well see...how the day goes...i believe they will be up around 2 ish....and gma is not coming she says her back is hurting her...sucks..i really want to see her...well thanks for watching and i should have some vids and pics tomorrow..

I read an article that said Hona's are really good flyers...If you free range them you may not be able to get them out of the trees...Although, mine are content in their space and don't really try and fly away. They more want to roost on my shoulder than anything...

Your progress amazes me! I wish I was moving along at 10% of your pace. Sorry about your birds...I think I killed my first chick between the cedar chips and the 250 watt bulb~ Sucks!

I currently have my shipment from GFF lost somewhere...Sent out Tuesday and no one knows where they are. I think i am looking at another box of dead chicks and I will just freaking cry~ Appenzeller Spitzhaubens. I hope you do well with yours!
