About 2 weeks ago we built a pen and roost for our 2 cochin hens and there rooster to stay apart from our other chickens so we will have pure blood eggs to hatch. They settled in surprisingly fast and stopped pacing the fence and went to bed in the new roost within 2 days of being in there. But now, 2 weeks later, I've yet to get a single egg from either hen...... At first i figured it was just the stress of moving roosts and being apart from the rest of the flock, but now I'm wondering just how long to expect this strike to last? I have broody hens anxiously awaiting some cochin eggs to hatch lol
