Built my first coop today.

Ok its 40"x96" church design, sorta copied the A frame design.
I just finished at dark 39

Both sides flip open, I have the chicken door screwed shut chicks are in there, I have think of a latch setup to keep the flip up doors locked down,

I built the roost 30" long, I'll build the nesting boxes in both ends later, I've also got to get the fencing for a run.

Its messy, I'll clean it up in the am.

About how many chickens are you putting in? Good job on your first! Now I need to get started on my first!

starting off with 17, but I'll thin them down once the roosters get old enough to fry,
They're not sexed so I figure when its all said and done there will be 8 to 10.

Oh yea, I've got to make ventilation doors at the peak, but its doubling as my brooder right now. So I'll do that ina couple weeks.

No plans just started building, the hardest part for me is always the rafters getting the pitch right.

I've got to build a run, tsc was out of 5' posts today I wanted to get all the stuff to finish the run today too.
