Built some new pens today take a look

Dixiedoodle, thanks as soon as I get the nest boxes and rooster completed I will post pics. And can you believe that everything on that pen was all considered scrap material except for the wire and posts. I used to do trim carpenter work and would always gather up the scrap pieces of lumber and bring them home they have been stacked in the shed awaiting the day I built new pens, I just couldn't see letting them burn all that cedar and cypress lumber when I knew one day I would use it.

Miss Prissy, I guess I need to start making a list of where I need to go next to build pens. But everyone has to wait I still have to build all my standard size birds their new homes.

spiritualmystic, somehow I have this funny feeling that some husbands out there aren't going to like me very much.

Linckhillpoultry, no I didn't build them in 1 day I had the posts in the ground and the roof on already but everything else was done yesterday.

ncgnance, yes I tried to get the boards straight my partner can get very shall we say perturbed at me at times because I like things to look nice..

James...I just showed Mike (he and Tater are back home from the hosp! Whoopiiee!) and he just said "wow!". He's super impressed. He actually got the goat housing in the yard done today even though he was so short on time. Now we have to get the cattle wire... Maybe you can come and build us one of those there 'fancy' pens for our critters too? The pheasant and peafowl pen isn't even STARTED! yet.

Stacy (and Mike!)

Thanks soonerdog,

Stacy glad that Tater is back home. Glad Mike liked the pens, glad that youo got the goat housing done (OH) guess what I came home today with of all things A GOAT..

James, glad to see you got more work done on them since we were there. I know how hard it is to make time. You guys are doing a great job there. You can come on up to Grenada when your done and help Stan and I with ours, ok? and who did you get your goat from? Someone nearby. I know a lady named Pam near you that has Pygmy goats. Hope this guy does not have horns, they can be pretty rough on fencing with them. Has he been banded or is he intact. If you don't plan to breed, banding is a good idea. Oh and they don't like being without other goats, they are herd animals. So he may hollar a lot. Just a warning. Let me know if I can be of any help in the goat department.

Marie, yes we are glad to have that much done also. Also it was good to meet you, Stan and your children the other day. I emailed you pics of Fred the goat. LOL

Must Be Losing It, yes that is cedar that is around the top part of the pen and cypress around the bottom. I was a trim carpenter and I always picked up the drop offs and left over pieces and that is where all that came from

That's what I was planning on doing to the side of my shed. Mine will only have 2 sections instead of 4 like you have. They will each be 9 feet wide by 10 feet long as my shed is 18 feet wide.
I am not looking forward to digging those holes with the post hole digger for the 4x4 posts I have to put in the ground.
Looks GREAT!!!!
