Hello there,

Hope all of you are doing well. My friends, I just wanted to know about bulb that we use mostly for incubators.

I want to hatch a dozen bantam eggs. Now can I use Led bulbs or energy saver s or else? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Just use like a 30 watt or 40 watt incandescent light bulb and a reptile thermostat. Some have even use like 15 watt bulb and it works fine.

Yes indeed it is. Before putting the eggs in the incubator I would like to test it. For a day or two. Humidity would be a issue I guess more than the temperature. 5 years back my sister made an incubator for quail eggs . We had two dozen eggs in that of which all hatched except for 4.

Lol...in that one we had not used a humidity meter. Except for a normal thermometer.

Would be my first experiment with chicken eggs.
