Bulge on right side chicken chest.

Our barred cochin bantam rooster has a hard large bulge on The right side of his upper chest. Sigh...

Need help!!

It could possibly be sour or impacted crop, or he could have simply just had a large meal. I would wait and see if the lump gets smaller overnight. If it doesn't, feel the area and let us know---does it feel hard, or does it feel squishy? Is there a bad smell coming from the birds beak? Also if you can, post pictures! Good luck!

It's hard.

Ugh. He has not had any grit for awhile. Maybe it's that. We put some with his feed before bed.

It's there on the right side of the bird but you looking at would be the left side. Now my daughter says it feels squishy. I guess the kids had fed him a bunch of corn and no grip maybe that was the cause. I don't know very much about chickens yet

He was born in the fall by his mama. There were two but one was dying for the mom killed it or not sure.
