bulging eye

My 2 week old chick's eye is bulging out. The vet told me to massage it, but it's not helping. The other chicks keep pecking it so I know she can't see out of it. Just wondering how to help her.

Can you post a picture of the chick’s eye? Bulging eye in baby chicks is a common birth defect. Some have it in one or in both eyes. In many of the threads I have seen here about this, the chick is blind in that eye. Can you tell if that is the case in your chick? I will try to find some threads for you to read for more info.
