Rooster breathing weirdly

Hi all, my rooster is about a year old, a Bielefelder, and today he started breathing weirdly, a gurgly sound. Also ate less today, and wouldn’t come running to me when I come out like he usually does. Still walked around though, and no mucus or bulging eyes. I just bought 4 chicks about 2 months old, Ive kept them separate in a cage while he roams freely and sleeps in his own cage.

Wondering if it was something new chicks brought in or he has a blockage, or respiratory issue. Please advise!!

Did you look and feel him all over to see if he has any injuries to his throat, mouth, or chest?

Is he your only rooster?

Yes he’s my only rooster. I did check him out and he looks just fine, I’m guessing maybe it’s respiratory, I’ll try taking him to the vet tomorrow

Poor baby! Hopefully the vet is able to give you answers and a treatment plan.
