I have 8 hens and 1 Polish rooster. My hens went after him pulling out his head feathers. I cannot figure out how to bandage his head and they continue to peck at it. Any suggestions on bandaging or how I can get the hens to leave him alone. Do not want to use bluekote.

Unfortunately that happens often in a mixed flock that includes polish. Years ago I lost a rooster who had his skull pecked open. I would definitely separate him until it heals, and you may need to permanently separate him. Crests can attract unwanted attention from non-crested birds.

And definitely treat his headwounds with disinfectant and something to repel insects. You do not want flies to lay their eggs there.

Woah, that looks like a bad injury. Definitely separate the rooster, clean him up, treat his injury. Then reevaluate what would be best for the rooster.
