Bullseye on yolk = fertilized egg?

I was under the impression that if an egg has a bullseye on the yolk, then it is fertilized. Here is a picture of a shell-less egg I found in the yard today. It has a bullseye! I am confused, since I have only 3 ducks. :confused:

Yes...they all have a very loud quack and all have female colouring. No doubt there. It's very strange!
 
We did have a pair of Mallards in the yard in early summer everyday for a month or so before i got the ducklings. Maybe they are back and I haven't noticed!

That could very well be it! And trust me, even a tiny drake can mate the biggest ducks! :gig
 
Ok devil's advocate. How long have you had them? How old are they? Have you actually heard all 3 separately quack? Could you have a drake in eclipse plumage?

Yes im still learning but just found a Google image of a runner duck in mallard colors that makes me excited for ducklings next year. Runner alpha drake and 2 Rouen females in the mix.
